Janet Lynn Brown Jones

Mrs. Janet Lynn Brown Jones, 58, of N. Broad Street, Bowman, passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2020, at her residence.

Janet was born in Iowa on July 21, 1961, daughter of Charles Brown, Jr. and the late Hilda Warnell Carter Brown. She had previously worked in the deli at Ingles of Hartwell, in housekeeping at Hartwell Health and Rehabilitation Center, and at Springs Industries in Hartwell. She attended Faith Baptist Church.

Survivors, in addition to her father of Bowman, are her companion, David Brooks of Bowman; son, Josh Justice of Dewy Rose; and siblings: Daniel and Lynn Brown of Elberton, Danny Dale and Betty Brown of Vanna, Donna Gail Chambers of Elberton, and Teressa Ann and Todd Burrows of Bowman; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by her infant son, Shannon D. Brown.

Janet will lie in state at Berry Funeral Home from 12:00-4:00p.m on Sunday, May 31, for those wishing to pay their respects and sign the guestbook.

Graveside services celebrating her life will be held on Monday, June 1, at 11 o’clock in Cokesbury United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Jamie Callaway officiating.

Pallbearers will include Chris Brown, Allen Brown, Austin Chambers, Morris Lester, Bubba Brown, and Donnie Brown.
