Janice Marie Madden Pressley

Mrs. Janice Marie Madden Pressley, 75, of Ridgecrest Drive, Elberton, wife of 43 years to Reginald Seaborn Pressley, passed away on Monday, January 27, 2025, at her residence. 

Mrs. Pressley was born in Elberton on July 11, 1949, daughter of the late Hansel Eugene “Buck” Madden and Ida Ruth Grimes Madden. She was a retired livestock farmer and a member of Fortsonia Baptist Church. In her free time, Janice enjoyed flower gardening. 

Surviving, in addition to her husband Reggie, are her children: Patrice Vaughan Elmore and her husband Daniel of Fountain Inn, SC and Michael Brandon Vaughan and his wife Abby of Ashburn, VA; step-daughter, Jennifer Pressley Castillo and her husband Horatio of Chattanooga, TN; siblings: Dorothy Griffin of Albany and Kenny Madden of Elberton; and four grandchildren. 

Private memorial services will be conducted by the family at Fortsonia Baptist Church at a later date.
