Jason Allen Black

Mr. Jason Allen Black, age 32, of 1077 Ruckersville Road, Elberton, passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2010 at his home. Born on December 17, 1977 in Elbert County, he was the son of Allen M. Black and the late Carolyn Algood Black. Jason was a member of the Grace Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn Algood Black. Survivors include his father, Allen M. Black of Elberton; aunts and uncles, Mary Anne & Denver Worley, Barbara & Joe Winn, Freida & Bobby Delk, Wilma Thomas, Dwight Black, Melvin Black, Blue Black, Stewart Black, and Kenneth Algood; and special friends, Mary Fernandez, John Sword, Crystal Ingram, Theresa Dye, and Doug Snell. Several other relatives and friends also survive. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at 3PM in the Chapel of Hicks Funeral Home with Pastor Frank Owens and Rev. Bill Lloyd officiating. Burial will follow in Elmhurst Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-3PM Wednesday at Hicks Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Grace Baptist Church, 1030 Sunset Drive, Elberton, Georgia 30635 or to the Francis Asbury United Methodist Church Carpet Fund, 1016 Ruckersville Road, Elberton, Georgia 30635. Pallbearers will include Dennis Moss, Chuck Black, Jason Webb, Chris Clark, Doug Anderson, Dennis Fowler, Brad Seagraves, and Charles Hill.
