Jeanette Helms Echols, 68, of 510 Thompson Street, Gaffney, SC, passed away on Saturday, November 27, 2010, at Brookview Nursing Home, Gaffney, SC. Born on August 14, 1942, in Ashville, NC, she was a self Homemaker and a Certified Nursing Assistant.Mrs. Echols is preceded in death by her husband; Charles Fred Echols; son, Jimmy Allen Shockley and brothers; Buck Helms and Junior Helms. Survivors include her children; Frances (Richard) Blackwell of Lyman, SC, Frank (Barbara) Shockley of Elberton and Jeffrey Todd Shockley of Athens, GA. and 5 grandchildren. Several relatives and friends also survive. Graveside Services will be held on, November 29, 2010 at 3 pm from the Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery with the Reverend Lyn Kellum officiating.Visitation will be at the Hicks Funeral Home from 1-2:30pm Flowers will be graciously accepted as well as those desiring may make donations to the American Cancer Society.
