Mr. Jeffrey Wayne Childers, of Hillcrest Avenue, Elberton, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, November 18, 2024, with his wife of 47 years, Janice Pope Childers, at his side.

Jeffrey was born in Elberton on May 14, 1956, son of the late Walter Alvin Childers and Zula Elizabeth Moon Childers Helton. He was a retired truck driver of over 30 years. "Love is more precious than gold". It can't be bought and it can't be sold. I got enough to spare, that makes me a millionaire. This was a favorite song of Jeff and true of his life.

A memorial service celebrating Jeffrey's life will be conducted on Monday, November 25, at 2:00p.m. in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home. The family will greet friends beginning at 12:00p.m., just prior to the service.
