Jenny Moon

Mrs. Virginia King "Jenny" Moon, 88, of Broad Street, Bowman, wife of 68 years to Herman Thomas Moon, entered into rest on Monday, July 27, 2015, at her residence. Mrs. Moon was born in Bowman on August 3, 1926, to the late Lonie and Jewel Barton King. She was a homemaker and a member of Bowman Baptist Church. "Miss Jenny" loved spending time with her family, sewing and quilting, listening to music, and tending to her flowers. In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Jennifer M. Scoggins of Bowman; two grandchildren and their spouses: Codi and Destenie Scoggins and Tiffany and John Lecroy; three great-grandchildren: Kyliee Scoggins, Lane Scoggins, and Justin Wydick, Jr.; sister, Frances Mills of Watkinsville; and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings: Fred King, Rabun King, Pauline Ashworth, Louise Chesser, Hurvis Rousey, and Mary Moore. Funeral services celebrating her life will be held on Wednesday, July 29, at 2:00p.m. in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Petty officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. The family is at the residence and will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00p.m. on Tuesday evening.
