Jerome Joseph Zinda

Mr. Jerome Joseph Zinda, 64, of Elberton, GA passed away Thursday, September 12, 2012 at Georgia Health Science University Hospital in Augusta, GA. Mr. Zinda was born February 15, 1948 in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, to Ester Wanta Zinda and the late Albert Zinda.He celebrated over 34 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Rebecca Lynn McKoon Zinda.Mr. Zinda was the retired owner of the Lazy L Hunting & Fishing Lodge in Elberton. In addition to his wife and his mother, Mr. Zinda is survived by two daughters: Debra Lyshoj of Greenwood, SC, and Kathryn Ingram of Hartwell, GA;one son, SSgt. Staso Zinda and his wife, Amber, of Ft. Riley, KS;and grandchildren:Rebecca Ingram, Eric Ingram, Annie Ingram, and Sophia Zinda.Mr. Zinda is also survived by two brothers: James Zinda (Connie), and Louis Zinda (Chris) all of Wisconsin;three sisters: Judith Blaskowski (Butch) and Cathy Guzman (Leonard), all of Wisconsin,and Patricia Schultz (Paul) of Spottsylvania, TN;and one sister-in-law, SFC Deborah McKoon of Elberton. A memorial service to celebrate Mr. Zinda’s life was held Sunday, September 16, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at The Chapel of Hicks Funeral Home, Elberton, GA.
