Jerry C. Eaton

Mr. Jerry Carlton Eaton, 75, of Elberton, Ga. passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2016.A native of Elberton, he was the son of the late Buford and Willie Carlton Eaton.Mr. Eaton was a retired truck driver for the granite industry and a member of Rock Branch Baptist Church.He served his country for 21 years in the U.S. Army and the National Guard. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Lucretia Eaton. Survivors include three daughters, Kim McCollum and her husband, Ricky of Elberton, Mary Newton of Hull and Melanie Herrington and her husband, Eddie of Thomasville; one son, Jason Eaton of Elberton; one brother Dennis Lambright of Crawford; four grandchildren, Garrett Herrington, Kaitlyn Denard, Willow and Elizabeth Newton. A graveside memorial service was held Friday, November 4, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in Elmhurst Cemetery with Pastor John Case officiating. The family is at the home of Kim and Ricky McCollum at 174 Heard Drive, Elberton. Hicks Funeral Home & Cremation Services is caring for the family of Mr. Jerry C. Eaton.
