Jerry Allen Tiller

Mr. Jerry Allen Tiller, 71, of Clover Ave. Comer, GA finished his course after a courageous long battle with cancer Sunday, January 7, 2024 at Piedmont Athens Hospital.

Mr. Tiller was born December 11, 1952 in Danielsville, GA to Joseph Thomas Tiller and Mae Gladys Wheless Tiller. He was member of Bethany Baptist Church and was retired from the Madison County Road Department.

He is survived by brothers and sister-in-law: James R. “Jimmy” Tiller and Jennifer Lynn Tiller of Lexington, Fred Jackson Tiller of Lexington, sisters; Eleanor Tiller Smith of Lexington, Linda Tiller Smith of Elberton, nieces: Lisa Mitchell, Sharon Swartz, Jamie Katelynn Tiller, Macie Jolynn Tiller; nephews: John L. Tiller, Jr., Roy Forrester, James Thomas Forrester, Larry Smith, Jason M. Tiller and a great-nephew: Brady Lee Tuck.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his previous wife: Barbara Carol Gunnells, brothers: Larry Paul Tiller, John Lafayette Tiller, William Joseph Tiller; sisters: Anita Kay Tiller, Sarah Frances Tiller Forrester; niece and nephews: Jennie Lynn Ragan, James R. Tiller, II and James Arthur Forrester, Jr.

Memorial services to celebrate Jerry’s life will be held at a later date.

Berry Funeral Home and Crematory of Elberton is in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Jerry Allen Tiller.
