Mr. Jerry W. Worley, 74, of Welcome Church Road, Elberton, GA, husband of Brenda Joyce McNair Worley, passed away Saturday, February 21, 2015, at Elbert Memorial Hospital. Mr. Worley was born November 28, 1940, in Elberton, GA to the late Speed Samuel Worley and Della Treadwell Worley. He was a member of Woodlawn United Methodist Church, was a retired stone cutter from the granite industry after 47 years of service, and was a farmer. Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Brenda Joyce McNair Worley, of the home; children: Debora Lynn Yaeger of Elberton, GA; Christopher Wayne "Chris" Worley, Bryan Alexander of FL, Wendy Bentley of Carnesville, GA, and Andrea Neathery of Elberton, GA; siblings: Kenneth and Jonell Worley of Elberton, GA and Carolyn and Raymond LeBleu of Lake Charles, LA; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; stepmother, Theodosia Yeargin Worley of Elberton, GA; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Dewey O. McNair, Barbara King and Frances Rousey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Billy Worley. Funeral services celebrating his life will be held 3PM, Tuesday, February 24, 2015, in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Rev. Mike McMinn officiating. Interment will follow in Bethlehem United Methodist Church Cemetery with Harmon Rice, William Daigrepont, Eddie Gary, Tom Smith, Houston Mills, and Sammy Joe Owen serving as pallbearers. The family is at the home on Welcome Church Road and will receive friends from 1-3PM just prior to the service at Berry Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested to please make memorials in his honor to Woodlawn United Methodist Church Building Fund, 3792 Brad Dixon Road, Elberton, GA 30635.
