Mrs. Jewell Florence Martin Peppers, 87, of Elberton, GA, passed away Monday, June 18, 2012 at her residence. Mrs. Peppers was born in High Point, NC to the late Roy and Beulah Lewis Martin.She was married for over 39 years to the late Grady Ward Peppers. Mrs. Peppers is survived by three daughters and their spouses:Judy and Myron Burdge,Gaye Paugh and Thom Poss, and Mona Peppers and Silvio Balistreri;and a son, Randy Peppers and his wife, Kelly.She also leaves behind five grandchildren:Kristine St. John, Chad Mann, Erin Rae Humbach, Constance Peppers, and Caitlin Peppers; three great-grandchildren: Yeager St. John, and Jake and Charlie Mann; and one sister, Joyce Carol Savage.In addition to her parents and husband,Mrs. Peppers was preceded in death by a brother, Roger Martin,and one sister, Doris Ellis. A service to celebrate Mrs. Peppers’ life will be Thursday, June 21, 2012at 11:00 a.m. at Francis Asbury United Methodist Church with Rev. Kenneth Deitle and Rev. Calvin Ward officiating.Visitation will be Wednesday evening, June 20, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Hicks Funeral Home and Thursday morning from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Francis Asbury United Methodist Church.Interment will be at Elmhurst Cemetery.
