Jimmy Allen Brown

Jimmy Allen Brown, 66, of 1028 Brown Brothers Road, Elberton, widower of Sherry DePalma Brown, passed away Saturday morning, June 4, 2011. Jimmy was of the Baptist Faith and was a farmer. He was born in Elbert County on December 23, 1944, to the late Samuel Newt Brown and Flora Hunt Brown. Left to cherish his memories are his daughter, Traci Maxwell of Albuquerque, New Mexico; son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Brandi Brown of Elberton, GA; sisters, Jeanette Burdette, Joanne Brown, both of Elberton, GA, and Aldyne Vaughn of Key West, FL; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Stanley Brown, Raymond Brown, and Thomas Brown. Memorial services celebrating his life will be held Tuesday, June 14, at 4:30PM at Fortsonia Baptist Church with Rev. Al Butler officiating. The family will be at the home of his son and daughter in law, Kenneth and Brandi Brown, 1816 Huntcliff Way Elberton, GA. The family has requested in lieu of flowers to please make memorials in his honor to Fortsonia Baptist Church, 2616 Washington Highway, Elberton, GA 30635.
