Mr. Jimmy Linder Bailey, 77, of Sunnybrook Lane, husband of 51 years to Camilla Maxwell Bailey, passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2017, at Country Manor Personal Care Home in Tignall.
Mr. Bailey was born in Hart County on October 26, 1939, son of the late Joe Adams Bailey and Geneva Dyar Bailey. He was a graduate of Hart County High School and a member of Unity Baptist Church in Starr, South Carolina where he served as a deacon and AWANA Worker. Jimmy retired as Parts Manager at Cleveland Ford in Hartwell, which later became Ed Murdock Ford.
Survivors include Camilla, his devoted wife, best friend, and caregiver; siblings: Janis B. Hackett and Terry L. Bailey, all of Hartwell; and a host of other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Billy Joe Bailey.
Funeral services celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, February 11, at 2 o’clock in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with the Revs. Roger Kendrick and Lloyd Robison officiating. Interment will follow in Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
The family is at the residence and will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home from 1:00-1:45p.m. on Saturday.
