Jimmy Willis

Mr. James David "Jimmy" Willis, age 66, of 619 Evans Street, Whitmire, SC, entered the Sunset of His life at 1:50AM on Friday, January 20, 2012, at the Hospice Care of the Piedmont in Greenwood, SC. The Sunrise of His life came on May 16, 1945, in Newberry County, SC. He was the son of the late Coy Tommy Willis and Jessie Miller Willis. Following his high school career, he became employed in the textile industry. Those surviving Mr. Willis is his sister, Mrs. Betty Driggers of Calhoun Falls and then he was blessed with a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces and great great nephews as well as other family members. The visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, January 23, 2012, from 1:30PM until 2:45PM in the Sanctuary of the Whitmire Church of God on Evans Street in Whitmire, SC. A graveside funeral service will be held following the visitation at 3:00PM from the family lot in the Whitmire Cemetery on Cemetery Street in Whitmire, SC. Rev. Wayne Tyler and Rev. Billy Yon will conduct the service. The pallbearers will be comprised of the nephews of Mr. Willis. Mrs. Driggers would like to extend her heartfelt since thanks to all those who have shown any act of kindness to her and the family. It will always be remembered and appreciated.
