Joanne Christian Brown

Mrs. Joanne Christian Brown, 78, formerly of Christian Road, Dewy Rose, GA wife of the late Wallace R. Brown passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at Hart Care Center in Hartwell, GA following a long illness. Mrs. Brown was born April 13, 1937 in Hart County, GA to the late Early Bucee Christian and Ruby Jane Bryant Christian. She was a member of Fork Creek Baptist Church and previously worked at Georgia Synthetic and Elberton Manufacturing. Left to cherish her memories are her daughter and son-in-law Sheila and Todd Bryant of Bowman, GA; son Barry Black of Elberton, GA; brother Billy Lanier Christian of Dewy Rose, GA; sister Ms. Ruby Pauline Scott of Springhill, FL; and grandchildren Terry Middleton and Ashley Linder, six great-grandchildren and twelve nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a brother Obie Guy Christian. Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held 11AM, Friday July 24 in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Vaughn presiding. Interment will be in Fork Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family is at the home of her daughter Sheila Bryant: Deer Haven Dr. Bowman, GA and will receive friends from 10-11AM Friday at Berry Funeral Home just prior to the service.
