Joe "Sonny" Parker

Mr. Joe “Sonny” Elbert Parker, 78, of Tignall, passed away January 2, 2021 in Elbert Memorial Hospital.A native of Atlanta, Mr. Parker was the son of the late Joe Farmer and Juanita Fisher Parker.He was also preceded in death by his wife, Jean Miller Parker, son Joe “Bert” Elbert Parker, Jr., brother, David Parker and sister, Sara Ferguson.He was a retired electrician.Sonny was a member of Fishing Creek Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon.One of his favorite pastimes was watching Football and Nascar.Before its’ closing due to covid, Sonny could be found most every morning at the Kum Bak Café, visiting with friends that gathered there to solve the problems of the world! His jolly personality brought sunshine to all who knew him. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Tracie and Steve Crandall, of Edmond, OK; three grandchildren, Jessie Bunch Fusco, Krystal Bunch and Brooke Parker; step grandson, Justin Crandall; sister, Pam McCain, Texas and brother, Marvin Parker, Stockbridge. The family will hold a service at a later date.
