Mr. Joe Pat Stovall, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at Spring Valley Private Care. Mr. Stovall was the son of the late James Olin and Hattie Cordell Stovall. Mr. Stovall is survived by his wife of 54 years, Pat Stovall.In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons; Michael (Denise) Stovall of Peachtree City, Ken (Ann) Stovall of Atlanta,and a daughter Debbie Stovall Gaffney also of Atlanta; three grandchildren Lyndsey and Lauren Gaffney and Thomas Stovall; three sisters Nettie Sue Craft of Mt. Dora, Florida, Earlene Dargan of Athens, Martha Frye of Hartwell, and one brother Jack Stovall, Sr. of Elberton. Mr. Stovall was a 40 year employee of the textile industry and a veteran of the U. S. Army. In addition to his parents Mr. Stovall was preceded in death by three brothers; Herbert Stovall, James Stovall and Wilbur Stovall. Funeral services for Mr. Stovall will be held at Rock Branch Baptist Church, Sunday, February 26, 2012 at 2 p.m.Visitation will be held at Hicks Funeral Home, Saturday, February 25. 2012, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.Interment will be at Rock Branch Baptist Church Cemetery following the service. The family is graciously receiving flowers or memorials may be made to Rock Branch Baptist Church Building Fund. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.hicksfuneral.com.
