Joel "Willie Bob" Segars

Mr. Joel Samuel “Willie Bob” Segars, 59, of Elberton, passed away Sunday, December 29, 2019 at his daughter’s home. A native of Elbert County, Mr. Segars was the son of the late Joel Thomas and Leacy Bell Davis Segars. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Ann Raines and brother Wayne Bonds. Mr. Segars had worked in the granite industry. Survivors include 3 children, Brandy Segars, Carly Segars and Brayden Segars; 2 grandchildren, Allie Taylor and Jaelyn Massey; siblings, Lona Summers, Earl Bonds, Allen Bonds, Gail Segars Medina and Virgil “Buck” Segars and his wife Angela. A Memorial Service was held on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. in the Assembly Church of Hartwell, 1128 Liberty Hill Church Road, with Mr. Dan Hardy and Rev. Eric Segars officiating. Arrangements for Mr. Joel “Willie Bob” Segars were in the care of Hicks Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Elberton.
