John William Anderson

John William Anderson, 65, of 1212 Stinchcomb Road, Elberton, died on Thursday, July 1, 2010. Born on May 21, 1945 in Chicago, Illinois, he was the son of the late Howard and Alice Anderson. Mr. Anderson was an avid sportsman who enjoyed fishing and was truly devoted to his love of animals.He was a retired metal spinner machinist. \ He was a beloved father of all his children, Vern (Sandra) Steinberg, LouWana Pickett, Roger Steinberg, Henry Steinberg, Joseph Clark, Jeff Clark, Johnny Anderson and Jimmy Anderson. He also leaves behind former wife, Adeline Anderson, sister, Julia Earle; six brothers; and step-mom, Colette Peterson. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at 11AM from the Doves Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Douglas Huff officiating. Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 7, 2010, at 2:30 PM in the Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, Ga. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Monday night, July 5th at Hicks Funeral Home. Hicks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for John William Anderson.
