John "Billy" Price, Jr.

Mr. John “Billy” William Price, Jr., 74 of Centerville Rd., Lexington, GA passed away Saturday, August 7, 2021 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Athens, GA.

Mr. Price was born October 19, 1946 in Athens, GA to John William Price, Sr. and Mary Belle Sword Price. He was a member of Lighthouse Pentecostal Church in Colbert, GA , a retired electrician and an avid Georgia Bulldog fan.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years: Brenda Joyce Taylor Price; sons and daughters-in-law: Sammy Price and Tina Price of Canon, GA, John Henry Price and Wendy Price of Comer, GA, Dusty Price and Tasha Price of Royston, GA; daughters and sons-in-law: Sheila Mattox and Gregory Mattox of Lexington, GA, Pamela Price of Westminster, SC, Dixie Bryant and Adam Bryant of Bowman, GA; twenty-two grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, his only living aunt: Lounette Price of Rockleddge, FL and many nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.

Funeral services to celebrate Billy’s life will be held 1PM, Thursday, August 12 at Mt. Pleasant Community Church in Crawford, GA with Rev. Bobby Miller officiating. Interment will follow in Crawford Cemetery with John Henry Price, Sammy Price, Dusty Price, Jason Price, John Jr. and Rocky Nation serving as pallbearers.

The family is at the home 3098 Centerville Rd. Lexington, GA and will receive friends from 11AM to 1PM just prior to the service at Mt. Pleasant Community Church.
