John E. Lancaster

John E. Lancaster, 58, of 1663 Dewy Rose Road, Dewy Rose, husband of Bernice Higginbotham Lancaster, passed away Saturday, March 24, 2012, at Elbert Memorial Hospital. Mr. Lancaster was born in Sistersville, West Virginia, October 12, 1953 to the late Donald and Hazel Coen Lancaster. He was a Fork Lift Mechanic and a member of Victory Baptist Church. Left to cherish his memories are his wife of the home; children, Martha Yost, Christina Athey, Gary Lancaster, and D.J. Lancaster; sisters, Bertie Knight, Judy Lehman, and Wilma Vaughn, and Ilean Deegan; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; a son, David Lancaster; and brother, Donald Lancaster. Mr. Lancaster has been cremated and memorial services celebrating his life will be held Sunday, April 15, at 11AM at Victory Baptist Church with Rev. Sean Baughman officiating.
