John Gary Barton

Mr. John Gary Barton, 57, of Dewy Rose, Georgia, passed away Friday, February 5, 2021.A native of Royston, he was the son of John Alvin and Ann Tucker Barton.Gary had worked in the granite industry and in recent years he had done various handyman jobs.He was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Kay Cobb Barton and a son, Brandon Barton.He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Survivors include his parents, John A. and Ann Barton, of Bowman; sons and daughter-in-law, Brian and Michelle Lawrence, Justin Lawrence, Preston Barton and John Frank Barton; grandmother, Dorothy Tucker; brother, Charles Neil Barton; sister, Cindy Kennedy; four grandchildren; a niece, Christy Barton Harrol; and a great-niece, Austin Harrol. Private family services will be held at a later date and Gary will be laid to rest next to his wife in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
