John ‘Larry’ Hutcheson died in the comfort of his home in Tignall, Georgia on December 21, 2022, at the age of 76.
A native of Dallas, Georgia, Larry was a 1965 graduate of Dallas High School. He began working with Southern Bell Telephone Company in 1966. In 1981, the family relocated to Western Montana where Larry worked for US West Telephone Company. He retired in 1996 and eventually moved to Tignall. Larry was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. His love for wood working and metal working was only second to his love of gunsmithing. He was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association.
Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Patricia ‘Diane’ O’Neal Hutcheson; children: Carrie Sandberg of Tignall, Lara Lacey of Montana, and Genie Hutcheson of Montana; seven grandchildren: Brittney, Samantha, Nathan, John Matthew, Alana, Justin, and Cameron; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents, John Robert Hutcheson and Lila Lee Hall Hutcheson; grandson, Keith Sandberg; and sibling, Chris Hutcheson.
No services will be held.
