John Thomas Adams

John Thomas Adams, 67, of Newnan passed away Saturday, October 26, 2019 at Piedmont Newnan Hospital. John was born July 21, 1952 in Louisville, GA to the late E.F. Adams & Annie Gaines Adams. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Donald Edward Adams.

John received his undergraduate degree and his pharmacy degree from the University of Georgia. Upon graduation from pharmacy school in 1975, John and his family moved to Newnan where he began his career at Lee-King Pharmacy on the court square. John later was a pharmacist at Lee-King on Cavender Street until his retirement. He was an avid outdoorsman who found peace in the woods hunting, fishing or scouting.

The memorial service is Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home with Dr. Joel Richardson officiating. The visitation is Monday evening between 6:00-8:00 at McKoon Funeral Home. Rather than flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Newnan-Coweta Humane Society, 608 Highway 29 North, Newnan, GA 30263 or www.nchsrescue.org

Survivors include wife, Judi Anderson Adams; sons, Andy (Angie) Adams, Tom (Autumn Godfrey) Adams; grandchildren, Kinsey Adams, Sydney Adams, Natalie Adams, Austin Adams, Aaron Adams; great-granddaughter, Lily Johnson; and extend family.
