Johnny Russell Davis

Mr. Johnny Russell Davis, 79, of Davids Home Church Rd. Comer, GA passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Davis was born November 4, 1944 in Jefferson, GA to Claude Davis and Novie Turpin Davis. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran having served in the Vietnam War and Korean War where he retired as a Chief Warrant Officer after 24 years of service and dedication to the country he so proudly loved.

He is survived by his wife: Donna Powers Davis; children: Lexie and Zach Bates of Lexington, GA, Holly and Christian Davis of Comer, GA, Gary Kappeler and Hannah Sims of Royston, GA, Harley John-Claude Davis of Comer, GA, Jessica Bleifield, Shelly Davis; sister: Claudia Chastain of Jefferson, GA; three grandchildren: Ellie Bates, Raylon Kappeler and Clay Russell Davis and a nephew: Richard Smith.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter: Kayleen Quinlan and siblings: Hazel Smith, Ed Davis, Roberta Wood, Eva Edwards, Dot Pittman and Clyde Davis.

At his wishes no formal services are planned at this time.
