Mr. Johnny Ray Wills, 72, of Robert Hardeman Road, Winterville, husband of Martha Croya Wills, passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2013, at St. Mary’s Hospice House. Mr. Wills was born in Jackson County on February 21, 1941, to the late John Wesley and Frances Ray Wills. He was a retired diesel mechanic, a U.S. Army Veteran, and a member of AmVets Post 10 in Athens. Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Martha Croya Wills; son, John Wesley Wills of Atlanta; daughter, Wendy Chambers of Braselton; step-daughter, Terri Colquitt of Hull; brothers, Phil Davis of Jefferson, Joel Davis of Jefferson, Stan Davis of Cumming; sisters Jonell Wills Loggins of Commerce, Fay Davis of Athens, Marsha Davis of Athens and Molly Brannon of Flowery Branch; grandchildren, Kayla Kristine Foster of Arnoldsville and Kevin Christopher Foster of Diamond Hill; and great-grandchildren, Destin Tyler Suarez, Jaden Luis Suarez, and Alexis Chyenne Suarez, all of Arnoldsville. He was preceded in death by sister Marion Davis Porter and brothers Norris Davis and Lewis Davis. Memorial services celebrating his life will be held at a later date.
