Jon K. Shultz

Mr. Jon K. Shultz, 65, of Lake Forest Drive, Elberton, passed away on Monday, April 29, 2019, at his residence.

Jon was born in Le Mars, Iowa on July 24, 1953, son of the late Robert K. “Bob” Shultz and Marcella Marie Johanson Shultz. He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and a welder/engineer having worked at Russell Dam. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and was honored to be Elberton’s Moose of the Year in 2016. Jon served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era.

He is survived by his wife, Robin Wilhite Bonds Shultz; children: Michael and Janet Shultz, Justin and Maria Shultz, Scott Bonds, and Kayla Bonds; siblings: Kathy Shultz, Jim Shultz, and Kim Shultz Martinez; and grandchildren: Hunter, Avery, Jaden, Jayce, Mason, and Jurni.

In addition to his parents, is preceded in death by a daughter, Tiffany Marie Bonds and brother, Bill Shultz; and niece, Stacy.

A memorial gathering celebrating Jon's life will be held on Saturday, September 21, from 3:00-5:00p.m at the Elberton VFW.
