Joseph Carroll Wilhite

Mr. Joseph "Joe" Carroll Wilhite, 77, of Double Bridges Rd., Elberton passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2017.

Mr. Wilhite was born February 21, 1940 in Elberton, GA to Lloyd Alton Wilhite and Jane McCurley Wilhite. He was a former Elbert County Rescue Squad for 33 years and was former owner-operator of Wilhite Brothers Granite Company with his brothers Hugh and Poo-Pup.

Survivors include a son: Jeff Wilhite of Elberton, GA; siblings and their spouses: Jimmy & Deanie Wilhite of Powder Springs , GA, Hugh and Katherine Wilhite of Elberton, GA, Eddy and Kay Wilhite of Cartersville, GA, Nanci Wilhite Brown of Elberton, GA and a great number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter: Jennifer Lynn Wilhite, brother: Alton "Poo-Pup" Wilhite, nephews: Shawn Wilhite and Greg Wilhite and a great-niece Misti Allison Hobbs.

Funeral services to celebrate his life will be held 2PM, Saturday, April 29 in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Adams officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-2PM just prior to the service at Berry Funeral Home. Private Inurnment will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
