Joseph Paul Kellum

January 12, 1999 — November 3, 2022

Joseph Paul Kellum

Joseph was an amazing man that in his 23 short years achieved a level of maturity that most don’t in 80 - 90 years.   On March 30, 2019 he married his soul mate Johnna Leigh Kellum.  They had been together since July 8, 2015.  Even though they were young, there was an ever-present maturity that everyone that knew them appreciated.  Theirs was a love story that very few people even achieve.  They got their four legged son, Waylon on December 11, 2021.  The three of them were rarely seen without the other two.  He had just started his own business, KellumCo. LLC.  His life was as perfect as any young man could ask.

As his last gift, Joseph had chosen to be an organ and tissue donor. His legacy of giving will save lives and continue to make this world a better place. One donor can improve the lives of more than 75 people.

Joseph was survived by his loving wife - Johnna Kellum, His Father Paul Kellum (step mother Mitzi Kellum), Mother Joy Carter (Step Father Randy Carter), Grand Mother Margie Dalton, Brother Daniel Kellum, Step Brother Joseph Smith (Wife Ashley Smith), Step Sister Jeal Salter (Husband Ben Salter), Step Sister Zada Carter, Step Brother Tucker Carter, numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews along with so many friends that there is not enough space to list.

Joseph will be cremated and his ashes will be kept by his wife.

There will be a Celebration of life on, Saturday, November 12, 2022 at 2:00pm in the sanctuary of Harmony Baptist Church (2055 Harmony Road, Elberton, GA 30635).  Immediately following the service, a bonfire is planned at the address of 740 Fortson Compton Road, Comer 30629 (directly behind Madison County Middle School.)  Everyone that drives a truck, please drive those to the event.

Thank you for all the prayers, hugs, texts, FaceBook posts, and expressions of love.

Arrangements for Joseph Paul Kellum is in the care of Hicks Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
