Josephine Eavenson

Mrs. Josephine A. Eavenson, 81, of Double Bridges Road, Elberton, GA, passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at her home. Mrs. Eavenson was born in Elbert County to the late Joe Raymond and Ruby Ruth Floyd Anderson. She has been the bride of Horace L. Eavenson for over 64 years.She worked many years in the florist business here in Elberton. In addition to her husband,Mrs. Eavenson is survived by a son, Andy Eavenson and his wife, Libby;grandchildren:Megan Richardson and her husband, Andrew, of Johnson City, TN, and Drew Eavenson of Athens, GA;a brother, Emory Joe Anderson; a sister, Rebecca Mercer Sigman; and caregiver, Cynthia Glaze.Mrs. Eavenson was preceded in death by her parents and twin sisters, Vesta and Vera Anderson. A graveside service will be held Thursday, October 13, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at Elmhurst Cemetery with Rev. Mike Shearon officiating.A time of visitation for family and friends will be at the cemetery following the graveside service.
