Joyce Clare Bricknell

Mrs. Joyce Clare Weintz Bricknell, 76, of Mount View Lane, Lavonia, GA wife of David C. Bricknell, Sr. passed away Friday, July 8, 2016 at Anmed Health Center in Anderson, SC.

Joyce was born in Cleveland Ohio to the late Clarence F. Weintz and Alma Tager Weintz. She married David Bricknell Sr. in 1961, and they had two sons David Jr and Scott. They moved to Stone Mountain, Ga. in 1972. They relocated to Lavonia, Ga. in 1997 to Mount View lane. Joyce was a pre-school teacher at Memorial Drive Presbyterian church until they moved to Lavonia. Joyce loved the outdoors, fishing, working in the garden, bowling, camping, family and friends. She is survived by her husband of 54 years David Bricknell Sr., sons and daughter-in-law David & Cindy Bricknell Jr. of Woodstock, Ga., and Scott A. Bricknell of San Diego, Ca,; sister Carol J. Charley of Loudonville, Oh.; grandchildren Zachary A. Bricknell and Megan L. Bricknell.

Memorial services celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, August 6, at 2:00p.m. in the Hartwell First Presbyterian Church with Pastor Ted Worley officiating.
