Joyce Childs Jones

Mrs. Joyce C. Jones, 93, of Tucker,GA passed away August 19, 2023.

She was born in Elberton, GA on September 6, 1929 to Calvin and Orelia Childs.
She devoted her life to her husband of 70 years and to raising her children. She desired to serve others and worked in the counseling department at First Baptist Church Of Atlanta which she was a member.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband: William G. Jones in 2019; parents: Calvin and Orelia (McGee) Childs, sister: Myrtle Barrett, brother: Sidney Childs. She is survived by her daughter: Nancy Jones of Tucker, daughter and son-in-law: Janice and Tommy Adams of Alabama, son and daughter-in-law: Kenneth and Susan Jones of Bishop, son and daughter-in-law: Bill and Laura Jones of Winder, 6 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law: Linda and Jerry Madden of Elberton; sister and brother-in-law: Jo and John Payne of Crawford, brother and sister-in-law: Roger and Gloria Childs of Elberton and numerous family and friends.

Memorial services celebrating her life will be held at 3 PM on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Bethel E. Baptist Church Cemetery.
