Joyce Scarborough

Mrs. Addie Joyce Floyd Scarborough, 72, of Drake Rd., Elberton, GA wife of Sonny Scarborough passed away Monday, January 4, 2016 at her home. Mrs. Scarborough was born February 1, 1943 in Elberton, GA to the late Harmon Floyd and Ruby Ray Floyd. She was a retired weaver in the textile industry. Left to cherish her memories are her husband Sonny Scarborough, sons and daughters-in-law Brian and Lee Pulliam of Athens, GA, Sandy and Angie Scarborough of Bowman, GA, Michael and Sherry Scarborough of Elberton, GA, daughter Sonya Corder of Elberton, GA, siblings Melvin Floyd of Elberton, GA, William Floyd of Dewy Rose, GA, Ellen Ramey of Dewy Rose, GA, Virginia Brown Lavonia, GA, nine grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter Wanda Pulliam and siblings Lester Floyd, Walter Floyd, DeWitt Floyd, Huse Floyd, Imogene Brown and Thelma Lunsford. Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held 2PM, Saturday January 9 in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Rev. Jan Thompson and Keith Floyd officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park with Aaron Corder, Avery Corder, Andy Corder, Jeremy Scarborough, Brandon Slater and Vance Slater serving as pallbearers. The family is at the home on Drake Rd. and will receive friends from 12-2PM Saturday at Berry Funeral Home just prior to the service.
