Juanita Jones Attaway

Mrs. Juanita Jones Attaway, 95, of Ruckersville Road, Elberton, wife of the late Harold Walter Attaway, passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at her residence.

Mrs. Attaway was born in Elbert County on December 7, 1927, daughter of the late Earnest Tillman Jones and Elizabeth Payton Jones. She was a dedicated member of Vans Creek Baptist Church and a glass lab technician having retired from Owens Corning Fiberglass after 31 years of service.

Survivors include her brother, Larry Jones of Elberton; sister, Mayo Shedd of Augusta; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her son, James Cox “Jimmy” Attaway; and brothers: Alton “Sonny” Jones, Conrad Jones, Pat Jones, Allen Jones, and Ben Jones.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 2PM in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at Berry Funeral Home.
