Judy Angela Lovell Mcgee

Mrs. Judy Angela Lovell McGee, 67, of River Road, Elberton, wife of 41 years to Dwayne Wesley McGee, passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at her residence following a lengthy battle with hereditary liver failure.

Mrs. McGee was born in Wilkes County on March 29, 1954, daughter of the late James Crawford Lovell and Ethel Smith Lovell. She was a homemaker, and had previously worked at Brown Transport and in textile mills in Georgia and South Carolina. Judy was a member of Fortsonia Baptist Church, and enjoyed crocheting and being with her family. Above all, her greatest love was animals, especially dogs, and she was always willing to provide help to animals in need.

Besides her husband Dwayne, she is survived by her children: Mark Nash and his wife Crystal of Elberton, Audrey McGee Jenson and her husband Brian of Dewy Rose, and Wendy McGee of Elberton; and five grandchildren.

The last surviving member of her immediate family, she is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Mike Lovell.

Judy requested a private graveside service at Fortsonia Community Cemetery, and the family is honoring her request.
