Judy Kay Nelms Allen

Judy Kay Nelms Allen, 63, of 805 Rockman Lane, Defuniak Springs, Florida, wife of Robert L. Allen Jr., passed away Saturday evening, October 15, 2011, at Elbert Memorial Hospital. Born in New Castle, IN January 28, 1948 to the late William Cleo Nelms and Nancy Watson Nelms. She retired from the U.S. Air Force after 20 years of service, she worked as a substitute teacher, was a member of the National Honor Society, she graduated with Summa Cum Laude Honors, and earned a Bachelors Degree in Business Management. Left to cherish her memories are her husband Robert L. Allen Jr., daughters Lee Shawnelle Allen McKeown of Seal, AL and Melissa Diane Allen Townsend of Seal, AL, sister Tina Nelms Eades of Watkinsville, GA, and six grandchildren. The family has chosen cremation and memorial services will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be in Johnson United Methodist Church Cemetery in Watkinsville, GA.
