June Moore Garner

Mrs. Betty June Moore Garner, 60, of Calhoun Falls Highway, Elberton, wife of 25 years to Juan Bernal, passed away on Monday, May 20, 2019, at Elbert Memorial Hospital.

June was born in Elberton on September 15, 1958, daughter of the late William Dalton Moore and Shirley Irene Carroll Suttles. She was a retired CNA and of the Holiness faith. “Granny” love spending time with her grand babies and working in her gardens.

Survivors include her husband, Juan of Elberton; sons: Adam and Holly Smith and Brandon Newton and Michelle Willis, all of Calhoun Falls; siblings: Phillip Moore, Eleanor Mitchell, Amanda McAllister, and Stacie Moore; grandchildren: Lexie Smith, Mason Smith, William Newton, and Avery Newton; special friend, Alma Smith; and an honorary grandson, Ethan Williamson.

In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by her brother, Jeff Moore.

Funeral services celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, May 25, at 3 o’clock in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Latimer Cemetery in Calhoun Falls, SC.

The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home from 7:00-9:00p.m. on Friday evening.
