Jw Rucker

Mr. J.W. “Doc” Rucker, 83, of Jackson Street, Bowman, passed away on Monday, August 31, 2020, at Brown Health & Rehabilitation Center.

Mr. Rucker was born in Elberton on February 28, 1927, son of the late Louvilla Rucker and Ruby Jo Oliver Rucker. He was retired from the granite industry and a member of Ruckers Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include his children: Leon Rucker and Tammy Smith; and siblings: Sandra Bolton, Martha Tate, Betty White, Perry “Ricky” Rucker, all of Elberton, and Cobolea Porter and her husband Stalin of Bowman.

He is preceded in death by his son, David Rucker.

Memorial services and burial will be at a later date at Ruckers Grove Baptist Church.
