Mrs. Kathleen Agnes Eddleman, 90, of Dewy Rose, passed away Saturday, September 8, 2018 at her home.A native of Demorest, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Ferd Dockins and the late Jessie Virginia Martin Dockins. She was also preceded in death by a son, Hubert Sherrill Eddleman, Jr.Mrs. Eddleman was retired from DeKalb College where she had been an Administrative Assistant.She was a member of First Baptist Churchof Elberton where she enjoyed Women’s Missions.She also enjoyed camping, square dancing, playing bridge and crocheting. Survivors include her husband of 73 years, Hubert Eddleman; daughters and sons in law, Ginger and Joel Reed, of Mars Hill, North Carolina and Gerry and Jimmy Bankston of Barnesville, Georgia; four brothers and two sisters; grandchildren, AmySaalweachter and her husband, Scott, Katy Wyatt and her husband, Clark, Melissa Huggins, Jesse Tennyson and his wife, Maureen, Sarah Poole, and Abigail Smith and her husband, Jeff; thirteen great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. A Memorial Service to celebrate Mrs. Eddleman's life was held on Monday, September 10th at 3:00 p.m. in First Baptist Church of Elberton with Rev. Gary Purvis and Dr. Raymond Scott officiating. The family received friends just prior to the service.Jeff Smith, Clark Wyatt and Scott Saalweachter served as honorary pallbearers.Private interment will be at a later date. The family would like to express special thanks to Ms. Susan Walker for her special care of Mrs. Eddleman for the last several months. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Elberton, 132 Heard St., Elberton, GA. 30635 Arrangements for Mrs. Kathleen Agnes Eddleman were in the care of Hicks Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
