Kathryn Smith Andrews, 82, of Lexington Highway, Elberton, wife of the late Edgar Jackson Andrews, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2013, at St. Mary's Hospice House with her grandson, Trey, at her side. Mrs. Andrews was born in Oglethorpe County, August 21, 1930, to the late Sam and Molly Saxon Smith. She was a homemaker and a member of Falling Creek Baptist Church. Left to cherish her memories are two sons, Dean Andrews and his wife Jackie of Comer and Don Andrews and his wife Connie of Elberton; brothers, Fred Smith and Sam Joe Smith, both of Elberton; grandchildren, Jon Andrews, Shannon Ruff and her husband Greg, Keith Andrews and his wife Kelly, Kandice Chandler and her husband Robert, and Trey Andrews; nine great-grandchildren; special nephew, Dennis Tiller; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by twin grandsons, Kyle and Kale Andrews; and siblings, Ray Smith and Onzelle Tiller. Funeral services celebrating her life will be held Saturday, June 29, at 2:00p.m. in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with the Revs. Dwight Morgan and Jack McVeigh officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park with sons and grandsons serving as pallbearers. The family is at the home of Don and Connie Andrews, 1602 Stoney Creek Drive, and will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home from 7:00-9:00p.m. Friday evening.
