Kathy Ellen Rice

Miss Kathy Ellen Rice, 64, of Elberton, passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2019, at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center.

Kathy was born in Elberton on October 29, 1954, daughter of Gene Thornton Rice and Nancy Borzynski Rice. She was a graduate of Westbury High School in Houston, TX and received Bachelors degrees in both economics and accounting from Texas A&M. She was a CPA and financial officer having worked in the oil industry. Kathy was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed reading and cooking.

She is survived by her parents, Gene and Nancy Rice of Elberton; sister, Janet and John Foote; sister-in-law, Donna Rice; nieces: Caitlyn Bertsh and Stephanie Casalini; nephews: Matthew Foote and Benjamin Foote; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her brother, Gene Rice Jr.

A private graveside service will be held at Forest Hills Memorial Park.
