Mrs. Kay Rosalyn Queen Adams Johnson of Tanglewood Drive, Elberton, passed away at her home on Friday, May 3, 2024, her 69th birthday.
Born in Douglasville on May 3, 1955, she was a daughter of the late Eulus and Peggy Voyles Queen. She retired from the quality control department at Pilgrims Pride and was a member of Assembly Church of Hartwell. A devoted grandmother, Kay never missed an opportunity to love and spoil her grandchildren who referred to her as “Nana”. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed coloring.
Surviving are her husband, Thomas Andrew “Terry” Johnson, Jr.; children: Amy Melissa Adams Teasley of Tignall and William Anthony Adams of Elberton; sister, Sharon of Hiawassee; grandchildren: Kayla, LeeLou, Austin, Courtney, Cassidy, Caylee, and Colton; and great-grandchildren: Michael, O’Hara, and Chance, and one on the way.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Robert Preston Adams, Jr.; and grandson, Chance.
Memorial services celebrating Kay’s life will be held on Tuesday, May 7, at 2:00p.m. in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with the Rev. Roland Molina officiating. The family will greet friends beginning at 1:00p.m. just prior to the service.
