Kendrick Shane Teasley

Mr. Kendrick Shane Teasley, affectionately known as “Kenny”, was born in Royston, GA on August 11, 1975. He entered into rest in Elberton, GA on May 1, 2023, reaching the age of 47 years, 8 months, and 21 days.

Kenny was educated in the Elbert County, GA and Franklin County, GA School Systems, and was currently working at Lake Foods in Hartwell, GA. He was an avid sports fan who loved boxing, running track, and playing softball.

Kenny leaves to cherish his memories: his wife of 6 years, Monique Naquan Heard Teasley of Elberton, GA; his children: SheKendria Michelle Davis of Athens, GA, Ke’Asia Tyshae Teasley of Elberton, GA, Tayianna Heard of Elberton, GA, Kemiyah Teasley of Elberton, GA, Kendrick Teasley, Jr. of Elberton, GA, Ke’Vion Teasley of Elberton, GA, KiMora Teasley of Elberton, GA, and Royaltee Teasley of Elberton, GA; three grandchildren; his parents: Joe Ann Teasley-Mangham (Willie) of Royston, GA and Calvin James “CJ” Thomas of Royston, GA; his siblings: Tyne Lamont Thomas (Twalla) of Elberton, GA, Charles Joseph Thomas (DeeDee) of Hartwell, GA, Calvin Thomas (Jennifer) of Elberton, GA, Damion Thomas of Atlanta, GA, Hertio Dymmounde Teasley (Shameeka) of Tignall, GA, Xavier Thomas of Elberton, GA, Dominique Thomas of Elberton, GA, Elizabeth Smith-Burgess (Troy) of Athens, GA, Tamekia Lashae Teasley of Royston, GA, and D’Anna Geter of Greenville, SC; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

He was greeted on Heaven’s shore by his grandparents: Elizabeth Teasley, William Henry Maxwell, Ida Mae Thomas, and Garfield Thomas, Sr.; and his sister, Courtney Willis.

Public viewing will be held on Friday, May 12, from 9:00a.m.-5:00p.m. at Berry Funeral Home.

Funeral services celebrating Kenny’s life will be held on Saturday, May 13, at 4:00p.m. at Lakeside Ministries, 1026 Hartwell Highway, Elberton, GA with Kenny being placed in the church at 3:00p.m. Burial will follow in Lincoln Heights Cemetery.
