Lindon 'Jep' Mize, 75, of Goldmine Holly Springs Road, Royston, husband of Thelma Moore Mize, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2013, at Hartwell Health Care Center. Mr. Mize was born in the Vanna Community, May 2, 1938, to the late Otha Cone Mize and Quilla Victoria Winn Mize. He was the retired owner/operator of Farmer's Feed and Supply and was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher. Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Thelma Moore Mize; daughters, Andrea Phillips of Dewy Rose, Jackie Davis of Athens, and Linda Reed of Hartwell; sons, Pastor Terry Mize of Bowman, Gary Mize of Hartwell, and Pastor Scott Mize of Elberton; sister, Lois Mize of Bowman; brother, Arnold Mize of Royston; twenty grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Memorial services celebrating his life will be held Sunday, May 26, at 3:00p.m. in the Holly Springs Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Petty and Pastor Scott Mize officiating. Private inurnment will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Holly Springs Baptist Church from 2:00-3:00p.m. Sunday afternoon.
