Larry Furman Veal, Jr.

Mr. Larry Furman Veal, Jr., 62, of Edwards Street, Elberton, passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2019, at Heardmont Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Larry was born in Elberton on April 3, 1957, son of the late Larry Furman Veal, Sr. and Mildred Frances Parham Veal. He was a graduate of Elbert County High School and a sandblaster having retired from the granite industry. Larry was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his children: Nicole Veal of Elberton, Hannah and Nick Parker of Shelby, NC, and Nick Veal of Elberton; siblings: Tony Veal of Covington, Steve Veal of Bowman, and Patti Veal of Elberton; grandchildren: Layton Veal, Logan Stephens, Kinsley Veal, Lacey Rucker, and Zoey Rucker; and nephew, Marcus Veal.

The family will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00p.m. on Friday, November 8. Funeral services celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, November 9, at 1 o’clock in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home. Burial will be private in Hillcrest Cemetery. The family is at their respective homes.
