Larry Niel Saxon

Mr. Larry Niel Saxon, 75, of Saxon-Mattox Road, Carlton, husband of 51 years to the late Susie Laurel Dunn Saxon, passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2023, at his residence. 

Larry was born in Oglethorpe County on July 23, 1948, son of the late J.C. Saxon and Blanche Smith Saxon. He was a graduate of Elbert County High School and was proud to be in the first graduating class of Athens Technical College's body repairman class. He was a member of Falling Creek Baptist Church, the retired owner/operator of Saxon's Auto Parts, and a retired chainsaw mechanic.

Survivors include his children: Steven Saxon of Carlton and Teresa Saxon of Winder; brother, Leon Saxon of Elberton; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Larry Clint Saxon.

At Larry's request, no services will held. Burial will be in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.
