Laverne Kesler Addison

Mrs. Ola Laverne Kesler Addison, of Washington Highway, Elberton, wife of 69 years to the late Harold Lee Addison, entered into rest on Wednesday, April 27, 2016, one month prior to her 100 birthday.

She was born in Stephens County, daughter of the late Sam and Emma Payne Kesler. She was a housewife, member of Fortsonia Baptist Church, and enjoyed tending to her vegetable garden and preserving food.

Surviving are her children: Marilyn Addison and Dean Addison and his wife Kathy, all of Elberton; grandchildren: Deana Moreno and her husband Noel of Lithia Springs and Amy Addison of Colbert; great-grandchildren: Logan Addison, Alaina Addison, Roman Moreno, and June Moreno; sister-in-law, Barbara Kesler of Ormond Beach, FL; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her siblings: Herchal Kesler, Bertha K. Ragsdale, Broadus Kesler, Ondie Kesler, O'neal Kesler, and Winston Kesler.

Graveside funeral services celebrating her life will be held on Friday, April 29, at 11 o'clock in Forest Hills Memorial Park.

The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home from 10:00-10:45a.m. on Friday.
