Leanna Morrison Hudson

Mrs. Leanna Morrison Hudson, 81, of Bowman Highway, Elberton, passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2022, at her residence.

Mrs. Hudson was born in Elberton on October 1, 1940, daughter of the late William Erskin Morrison, Sr. and Reba Bryant Morrison. She was educated in Elbert County Schools and retired from the Elbert County High School Cafeteria. She was a devoted Jehovah’s Witness and dedicated her time to growing the ministry. She loved her grandchildren and cooking for her family.

Survivors include her children: Virginia Hudson Bryant and her husband Jerome of Elberton, Shirley Hudson Love and her husband Jeffery of Grovetown, Sharon Hudson Murray of Elberton, Tracie Hudson Burton and her husband Patrick of Athens, and Victor C. Hudson and his companion Deneisha Ransom of Augusta; siblings: Willie B. McIntosh and her husband Otis of Athens, Ann Morrison of Atlanta, Roselle Atkinson of Atlanta, William Erskin Morrison, Jr. and his wife Helen of California, and Imogene Hughes of Elberton; sisters-in-law: Lucy Morrison of Elberton, Doris Hudson and Glendora Morrison of Elberton; sixteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Alvin M. Hudson; son-in-law, Ludell Junior Murray, Jr.; and siblings: Pearl Lewis, Gracie Smith, Alice Morrison, Luther Morrison, Thomas Morrison, and Hessie Morrison.

An outdoor memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 19, at 2 o’clock at Berry Funeral Home with Brother George Willoughby and Brother Charles Shaw officiating.
