Lee White Connell

Mrs. Lee White Connell passed away peacefully at the Comer Health & Rehabilitation Nursing Home in Comer, Georgia, on July 22, 2024. She was 93 years of age.

Lee (also known to many as ‘Dede’) was born in Terlingua, Texas, to John and Cruz White. She spent her early childhood in both Terlingua and Alpine, Texas. Lee later moved to Washington State, where she completed high school, attended college, and received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. After graduation, she enlisted in the United States Air Force as a registered nurse and certified dental technician. After her military service, Lee continued to work as a private nurse and dental technician until retirement. 

Lee enjoyed life to the fullest. She had a great sense of humor, loved music and dancing, was a wonderful storyteller, and loved to talk about her life and travels. Lee was also somewhat of a bookworm and enjoyed reading whenever she could.

Lee was preceded in death by her husband, Connie Mac Connell. She is survived by her daughters, Judieth and Kathleen; son, Robert; and grandsons, Les and Ryan.

A memorial service will be held on October 28, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. in the Holy Angels Cemetery, Alpine, Texas, where Lee will be interred along side her father.
