Mrs. Lenora Bond Anderson, 90, of Elberton, Georgia passed away Sunday, March 12, 2017 at Spring Valley Nursing Home. A native of Elbert County, Mrs. Anderson was the daughter of the late Holcomb and Julia McMullen Bond.She was married to the late Kurt Anderson.Mrs. Anderson worked in the textile industry. She later worked as a secretary for Woodmen of the World, and thoroughly enjoyed traveling as part of her job. Survivors include two sons: James Anderson and his wife, Carolyn,and Dale and his wife, Debbie, all of Elberton.She also leaves behind several grandchildren: Ricky and Whitney Anderson, Chad and Sara Anderson, Jill and Steve Wallace, Shane and Paula Duncan, and Kevin Duncan; and 12 great-grandchildren: Riley, Brady, Austin, Brinston, and Jace Anderson, Dakota, Luke, Kira, and Garrett Duncan, Cheyanne Shiplett, and Tyler and Courtney Payton;and two brothers: Clyde Bond and his wife, Elizabeth, and Robert Bond, all of Elberton. A service to celebrate Mrs. Anderson’s life was held at Coldwater United Methodist Church on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at 3:00 p.m., with Rev. Ann Mann and Rev. Douglas Huff officiating.A time of visitation began at 2:00 p.m. just prior to the service.Interment followed in the church cemetery, with Riley Anderson, Jace Anderson, Brinston Anderson, Brady Anderson, and Austin Anderson serving as pallbearers. Arrangements for Mrs. Lenora Bond Anderson were in the care of Hicks Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Elberton.
